A lot has happened in a week! Carter turned 2 on Thursday! We went to Great Wolf Lodge Thursday night with Mom, Dad, and Kerry. We enjoyed the indoor water park....but Carter hated it. He wanted no part of it really, but he LOVED the arcade. There were very few people there since it was a week day, so he was able to run around the arcade and push all the buttons. We enjoyed storytime there, too. He got excited about meeting the mascot because his name was Wiley and Carter thought we were saying he could meet "Wall-E". He did like sitting and watching us in the waterpark, and we were able to walk up and get on with no lines. Maybe next year he'll be into the slides, pool, etc. The good news is it was all free! Woohoo!
We had Carter's party here on Saturday. We grilled out with Nana, Grandma, Grandaddy, Kerry, Hicks, Joni, Alina, Jamie, Jaime, Evan and Miles. It was a John Deere party. I think his favorite gift might have been the set of John Deere for Kids DVDs that Kerry got him. It explains all about tractors and is not animated, but he loves it. Have I mentioned he's crazy for tractors :) Patrick made his cake again this year. It was great!
Carter moved out of the nursery and up to the two year old room at church on Sunday. He did well and brought home a craft. They got to do play-doh in there so I'm sure he loved it. He's such a big boy now!
I enjoyed Mother's Day yesterday. We had lunch with my family and dinner with Patrick's. Happy Mother's Day!
A bit of trivia -- Today was Carter's due date!
